Walker School News
A Note from the PrincipalIt is the end of another school year. Wow, this year has definitely taken us on a journey. Thank you to all of our Walker students and families for being so flexible and adaptable as we worked through this unprecedented time. We will all be stronger, smarter, better and more resilient because of this journey. As we continue to move forward remember to stay safe, stay strong and stay positive!
The passion projects that students worked on and shared have been truly amazing. I have learned so much about who students are and what drives them throughout this past month. Thank you to all the people that connected with students, and supported them as they worked on these passion projects. I am so proud of all of our students for this great work! We have created a website to document our passion projects and for you to be able to view the great work of all of our students. The website is listed below. Take some time to look through this amazing work. Congratulations to our class of 5th grade students, as they are going to be leaving Walker School and starting their next chapter at intermediate school. The staff and I have enjoyed being able to learn with you and watch you grow. Continue to work hard and all of you will accomplish great things! As a way to celebrate your promotion, each 5th grader will be receiving a yard sign that can be personalized and displayed. The 5th Grade parent committee (PTA) also purchased a 5th grade class t-shirt for each 5th grade student. 5th graders will receive these items at the drop off/pick up day this week. Please post the sign, wear your t-shirt and be proud of your accomplishment.
